Our client is seeking experienced, compassionate, and reliable Support Workers / Carers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to an elderly person diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease with a mixed athetoid and spastic presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support to engage in meaningful, varied activities and prevent boredom.
- Full assistance with daily living tasks and safe positioning.
- Support with personal care and daily living tasks as required, ensuring dignity and respect.
- Skilled support to ensure safe transfers, correct posture, and safe feeding.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience as a Support Worker, Carer, or Healthcare Assistant.
- Experience supporting individuals with Parkinson's, speech delay, mobility issues.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Excellent observation and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
