Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading children\’s charity, who are looking for a Learning Mentor to join the team in Putney, West London. In the role you will be covering the London Accommodation Pathways (LAP) and other Services we provide. About the role: The Learning Support Team offers support to Teams helping young people to develop core skills – both practical and academic, widen their existing interests, and explore new ideas. You will be involved in delivering group and one-to-one sessions, Maths and English tuition, tailored to individual needs; working with the rest of the team around the young person to ensure all our young people are provided with appropriate access to education engagement. Applicants should have * Evidence of education at a higher level (e.g. ‘A’ level, NVQ, BTec, Level 3 ) * Experience of assessing and analysing the needs of individual young people, of setting targets and goals through negotiation with them and through the collection of relevant data and information to support assessments. * Experience of working with young people to support the achievement of their learning outcomes, particularly those who are underachieving, disaffected or have social/emotional barriers to their learning.
