Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading SEN School who are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join their team in Cranleigh, Surrey. You will be joining our multidisciplinary therapy team with an emphasis on delivering therapy through groups and individual sessions. You will ideally be compassionate and patient with a strong interest in mental health and learning disabilities in children and young people.

As well as delivering therapy, you will manage and prioritise some caseloads and enjoy building good working relationships with our students, their families and your colleagues. Your role will include some supervision and monitoring of programmes delivered by our Therapy Assistants. Our team do spend some time in the classrooms as part of our successful approach to delivering some therapy while working in tandem with our education team.

Salary

The salary range for this role is based on 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. In practice, full time therapist hours are compressed into term time plus 5 in-service training days working each academic year (39 weeks). The salary is also dependent on whether you are newly qualified or an independent practitioner.

Hours

Mon - Thursday: 3 days per week 08:15-17:00 + 1 day per week 08:15-16:00. You will get all the school holidays off!

Skills and Experience

You will be HCPC registered. We welcome applications from those who are newly qualified Occupational Therapists. You must have empathy with the needs of all students, as well as an enthusiastic, positive, conscientious, and flexible approach. If you are recruited, you will be required to complete Team Teach positive behaviour support training as part of your induction before employment.

£1000 joining bonus is offered! Driving license is preferred due to the rural location.
