We are looking for compassionate and experienced Female Support Workers/Carers to provide support within the home of a young boy with additional needs, including being non-verbal, global developmental delay, and suspected autism.
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent supervision and support within the home environment.
- Support a non-verbal young boy with global developmental delay and suspected autism.
- Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and personal care development.
- Plan and deliver calm, structured, and sensory-friendly activities tailored to his needs.
- Ensure his safety at all times while encouraging participation in age-appropriate and community-based activities.
- Provide respite support to the family and liaise with professionals when required.
Requirements
- Female driver with a valid UK driving license and drives.
- At least 6 months recent care experience in the UK.
- Experience supporting children with autism, sensory needs, and complex behaviours.
- Training in trauma-informed and sensory-aware care is preferred.
- Patient, empathetic, and confident in safely managing challenging behaviours.
