The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

Take ownership of content across our portfolio of five websites.

This is a hands-on leadership role — you’ll be writing and editing as much as you’re strategising, and you’ll have real autonomy to shape how our brands sound across every page a customer encounters.

You’ll own everything from category page copy and product descriptions to our blogs and FAQ content.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role — there’s no team to delegate to, so you’ll be doing the research, writing, editing and publishing yourself.

You’ll be part of a small, close-knit marketing team and report directly to the CEO, so this is a role with real visibility and influence over the direction of the brand.

If you love finding the line between “genuinely useful” and “genuinely entertaining” — and you’re allergic to generic, AI-flavoured marketing copy — this is built for you.

You must, however, be conversant with LLMs and use them every day for work.

  • What you’ll be doing
  • Owning the content strategy and execution across all five of our websites — category pages, product copy, landing pages, and blog content.
  • Auditing and rewriting existing on-site content to eliminate duplication, inconsistency and generic “filler” copy, replacing it with a distinctive, consistent brand voice.
  • Working closely with SEO to make sure content performs — for traditional search and increasingly for AI-driven answer engines (GEO).
  • Verifying accuracy of all published content against live product and pricing data before anything goes live.
  • Reporting on content performance (organic traffic, CTR, rankings) and adjusting strategy accordingly.
  • Managing a content calendar spanning blogs and seasonal campaigns.
  • Reporting directly to the CEO as part of a small marketing team, with plenty of scope to shape process as well as output.
  • What we’re looking for
  • 4+ years’ experience in a content, editorial or copywriting role, ideally with at least 1-2 years leading content strategy rather than just producing it.
  • A portfolio that shows range — you can write playful, brand-driven copy as easily as clear, structured FAQ or product content.
  • Strong working knowledge of SEO fundamentals (on-page optimisation, keyword research, internal linking) and genuine curiosity about how AI answer engines are changing content strategy.
  • Meticulous attention to detail — you double-check facts, prices and product claims rather than assuming source material is accurate.
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites/brands at once without losing consistency.
  • Experience with ecommerce CMS platforms is a plus.
  • Daily use of LLMs for work is a must.
  • A sharp editorial eye — happy to give and receive direct feedback on copy.
  • Genuinely happy working full-time from the office (Shoreditch or Saffron Walden) as part of a small, tight-knit team — this isn’t a role for someone who wants to work in isolation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills,
  • What you’ll get

Direct reporting line to the CEO, with real influence over brand direction.

A small, close marketing team where your work is seen and valued, not lost in a big org chart.

Genuine ownership over content strategy from day one.

The chance to build out a content function from a strong existing foundation, rather than starting from zero.
