An Accounts Clerk who will form part of our Accounts team undertaking a variety of functions including Credit Control, customer administration and reconciliations. Reporting to the Divisional Accountant this full time, permanent role will incorporate the set up and in life management of our client’s credit accounts and invoicing requirements. They must be highly motivated, organised and have excellent attention to detail and thrive in a team environment.

Location: Head Office in Garngoch, Swansea, SA4 4LL with option for hybrid working once probation period has passed

Preferred Hours: 8.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday

Main Duties:

  • Managing Sales Ledger accounts for a large client base
  • Daily invoicing
  • Direct Debit set up and collection
  • Contract amendments
  • System administration, ensuring records are up to date and accurate
  • Liaising with clients, chasing outstanding debt and resolving queries
  • Other administrative duties associated with a busy Accounts department

Required Aptitude, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of, or a desire to learn Credit Control, Banking and Nominal Ledger reconciliations
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately
  • Ability to work to strict weekly/monthly deadlines
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to react to workload, using initiative to manage several tasks at once
  • Proficient Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
  • Motivated in achieving high levels of customer service
  • Strong communicator with confident telephone manner and excellent written skills
  • Interest in learning and using multiple software systems
  • Flexible, helpful, approachable, adaptable, reliable – this role will liaise with all other teams within Day’s Fleet
  • Work well within a small team whilst also being self-motivated
