About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Waiter to join our front‑of‑house team. This is an entry‑level role, perfect for someone with a genuine passion for hospitality who wants to learn the craft of fine dining service. As a Commis Waiter, you will support the senior front‑of‑house team during service, assisting in the smooth running of the restaurant while building knowledge of food, wine, and service etiquette. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in a 3 Rosette fine dining environment and have the opportunity to develop your career in one of the most exciting hospitality teams in the Cotswolds.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the Chef de Rang and senior FOH team to ensure smooth, polished service
  • Prepare and maintain the restaurant setup before each service, ensuring high standards of presentation
  • Assist with polishing cutlery, glassware, and crockery, ensuring everything is immaculate for service
  • Shadow senior colleagues to learn the craft of fine dining service, from presenting dishes to wine etiquette
  • Anticipate the needs of your section and provide support promptly and efficiently
  • Communicate with the kitchen and FOH team to maintain flow and timing of service
  • Develop a knowledge of the menu, seasonal produce, and allergens to assist guests with confidence

Skills & Requirements

  • Previous hospitality experience is beneficial, though not essential — full training will be provided
  • A genuine enthusiasm for food, drink, and fine dining service
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to stay calm and organised under pressure
  • Excellent communication and a team‑player mentality
  • A desire to learn, grow, and progress in a professional hospitality environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
