About The Role

You'll lead and motivate the team, deliver outstanding guest experiences, and help drive daily operations to success. You'll ideally have worked in a restaurant or café setting before and come with a bright, warm, and welcoming mentality. Our luxury cafes feature seasonal farm to fork dishes in a relaxed and warm setting, and as a Café Team Leader you will be an ambassador for the Daylesford brand and offer an engaged service to our clientele.
YOUR ROLE
- Champion excellent service by ensuring every guest receives warm, knowledgeable and efficient café hospitality, maintaining full compliance with our Order of Service and complaints procedure.
- Lead daily operations including opening/closing procedures, cashing up, daily banking, stock controls, and maintaining accurate till and inventory processes.
- Uphold impeccable standards across health & safety, due diligence, and audit performance (targeting 90%+), ensuring the café remains safe, beautifully presented, and fully compliant.
- Support commercial success by engaging the team in weekly targets, driving spend-per-head, and contributing to sales growth through smooth operational management.
- Nurture and develop the team through structured onboarding, regular coaching, personalised development plans, performance reviews, and ensuring completion of all mandatory training.
- Grow future leaders by providing training and guidance designed to develop team members beyond the Team Leader position, cultivating talent and supporting longâterm progression within the Daylesford/Bamford Collection.
- Act as a calm problemâsolver, offering swift, thoughtful solutions for both guests and team members to maintain a harmonious and serviceâfocused environment.
- Delegate effectively to support the smooth running of the café and empower team members to take ownership of their responsibilities.
- Complete People administration promptly, supporting the Restaurant Manager with all teamârelated processes.
