About The Role

We’re looking for a passionate and hands‑on Plant Team Member to join the Daylesford Garden Team. Based in our garden retail section, you’ll provide friendly customer service, offer basic plant advice, and help with day‑to‑day tasks like watering, re‑potting and maintaining our vibrant displays. If you love working with plants and people, this is the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage customers with genuine warmth and product knowledge.
  • Assist with planting and creation for Daylesford clients.
  • Provide plant maintenance: weeding, watering and pruning.
  • Maintain garden space: cleaning, moving items, creating exciting plant displays.
  • Help customers with any requests, questions or advice.
  • Assist with planting for Daylesford Stays gardens.
  • Support plant deliveries and ensure accurate stock labelling.
  • Contribute to sustainability initiatives as a B Corp.
  • Inspire customers, suppliers and partners to live consciously and create a lasting positive impact.

Skills & Requirements

  • Solid understanding of plants, seasonal care routines, soil types, pests and garden maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to offer advice, recommend suitable products and identify plant health issues.
  • Strong collaborative skills and willingness to work closely with colleagues in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Supportive, adaptable and proactive.
  • Full, clean driving licence (required for transporting goods, making deliveries or supporting off‑site work).
  • Previous experience in a retail garden centre setting is advantageous.
