About The Role
We are looking for a Junior Butcher to join our renowned Daylesford Farm shop team, supporting our skilled butchers in delivering an exceptional experience from our premium meat counter. Working with the finest organic, pasture-raised meats, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting high-quality cuts to the exacting standards our customers expect. This hands‑on role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your butchery skills within a luxury retail environment, while learning about sustainable farming and responsible food production at the heart of the Daylesford ethos. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality food, and a genuine enthusiasm for providing outstanding customer service from one of the UK's most respected high‑end food counters.
SALARY: £13.83 per hour + TRONC
HOURS: Full Time, 32 Hours
Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion organic meats including poultry and whole carcasses
- Maintain high standards of freshness, quality, and visual presentation
- Support counter displays and pre‑packaged offerings in line with brand standards
- Engage with customers, sharing product knowledge and cooking tips
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols
- Rotate stock, check dates, and conduct regular quality checks
- Collaborate with the Lead Butcher, General Manager, and Head Chef to reduce waste and maximise product use
- Promote seasonal offers and alternative cuts to boost sales
