We are looking for a passionate and driven Assistant Retail Manager to join our team at Daylesford Organic in Notting Hill. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment and has a genuine interest in organic food, sustainability, and premium retail.

At Daylesford, our produce is at the heart of everything we do. Much of what we sell comes directly from our organic farm in the Cotswolds, where we have been pioneering sustainable farming for over 40 years. You will play a key role in bringing this story to life for our customers, sharing knowledge about where products come from, how they are grown or made, and why that matters. You will support the Retail Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the store, ensuring exceptional standards across customer service, visual merchandising, and operational performance. You will lead by example on the shop floor, motivate and develop the team, and help create a warm, welcoming environment that reflects the Daylesford brand.

Salary: £32,569 per annum, plus tronc.

Hours: Full Time 40 Hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Inspires the team by sharing updates on the future direction of Daylesford and bringing the brand’s vision and values to life on the shop floor.
    • Communicates clearly and concisely with all team members, ensuring consistency and alignment across the store.
    • Encourages teamwork by recognising individual strengths and fostering a collaborative, supportive environment.
    • Celebrates team and individual successes, motivating others to achieve and exceed expectations.
    • Works closely with the management team to support long‑term development plans for individuals and the wider business.
    • Coaches and mentors team members to identify their strengths and areas for development, supporting ongoing growth.
    • Delegates tasks effectively, empowering the team while maintaining accountability.
    • Sets clear standards and expectations, ensuring excellence in service, presentation, and operations.
    • Leads by example at all times, demonstrating professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Customer Experience & Performance
    • Anticipates customer needs and plans accordingly to deliver a seamless and elevated in‑store experience.
    • Continuously reviews service standards and identifies opportunities for improvement.
    • Inspires and drives the team to achieve sales targets and deliver strong commercial performance.
