About The Role
We’re looking for a Chef de Partie to join our passionate kitchen team at Daylesford Farm shop kitchen where organic produce, sustainability, and culinary excellence come together. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled chef who thrives in a dynamic environment and shares our love for seasonal, nourishing food to work across our farm shop delicatessen, on site restaurants, Daylesford delivered service, and our stunning Heritage House events space.
On target earning potential for this role is £35,000 per annum based on a 45-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £31,000 plus a qualified estimate of £4,000 in gratuities and service charge*. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes using fresh, organic ingredients.
- Support food production for our deli counters, restaurant, and delivery service.
- Assist with bespoke menus and service for private events at Heritage House and in our Market Garden.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Collaborate with the wider kitchen and farm shop teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials.
- Ensure your section is fully set for the next day with fresh mise en place.
- Share your knowledge and passion for food with your junior staff.
Skills You Will Bring
- Proficiency in preparing seasonal, organic dishes using fresh farm produce.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with a range of cooking techniques.
- Menu execution and plating to high visual and taste standards.
- Food safety and hygiene knowledge, including HACCP compliance.
- Experience with prep for deli counters and delivery services, desirable.
- Adaptability across multiple kitchen environments (farmshop, restaurant, events).
- Clear communication to ensure smooth service across departments.
