About the Position

The Account Executive, Customer Sales serves as a trusted advisor by developing and maintaining close customer relationships with our Dayforce users, educating assigned customers on the value and benefit of Dayforce products, and creating further sales opportunities. The role is segment focused on our Dayforce accounts generally between 100 and 1000 Employees and relies on team, solution, and value-based selling techniques. The successful outcomes of the Account Executive are vital to Dayforce's pursuit to land and expand its footprint among the addressable accounts in assigned segment. This role is primarily responsible for creating and managing the opportunities pipeline with a focus on incremental revenue by upselling and cross-selling to provide solutions to customer’s evolving needs and challenges. Success will be defined by effectively growing revenue through managing your sales pipeline to quota attainment, with timely updates in Salesforce.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Meets or exceeds individual and team revenue targets: Develop qualified sales opportunities that result from up-sell and cross-sell to the existing customer base.
  • Initiates a high level of outbound prospecting activities leveraging digital (email, video, etc.), is active on business related social media.
  • Provides support to qualified prospects and customers including follow up, product information, and quotations.
  • Coordinate and align Dayforce resources to drive opportunities to closure.
  • Maintains a solid working knowledge of Dayforce products and the benefits they provide.
  • Utilize modern selling and marketing techniques and tools to communicate effectively with customers to build relationships and develop and close sales opportunities.
  • Effectively executes a territory plan and manages pipeline to maximize revenue.
  • Enter forecasting and account/opportunity details in SalesForce; provides weekly updates including but not limited to, dollar amounts, status, and decision makers and next steps in closing opportunities.
  • Propose, coordinate, and participate to marketing activities within the territory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and experience we value:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in sales, typically gained over 5+ years.
  • Knowledge of HCM software or high-tech products/services is preferred with high preference of knowledge of Dayforce.
  • Proven track record of accomplished selling.
  • Proven ability to develop new sales and driving the sales process across teams.
  • Must have knowledge of solution selling and value-based selling techniques.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Work effectively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Motivated, results-driven professional with a demonstrated record of success in technology or software sales.
  • Ability to engage with C-Suite, drive business discussions identifying company priorities/goals/strategies, and translate into the value Dayforce solutions can deliver to achieve business objectives.
  • Aptitude, desire, and commitment to leverage technology and digital selling tools (social, video, automation, etc.) to drive digital sales motion.
  • Proven ability to build pipeline (both self gen activities and leveraging corporate marketing programs) to consistently over-achieve assigned quota.
  • Ability to execute against the Dayforce Digital Sales Process while managing multiple concurrent opportunities with close attention to detail.
