About the opportunity
We are looking for experienced professionals to join our Services Consulting team as Senior Implementation Consultant. In this role, you’ll be working with our enterprise clients to implement Dayforce HCM — focusing on time, attendance, scheduling, and payroll connectors that directly impact how organizations manage and pay their people. This is a strategic consulting role where you will solve complex business problems, lead solution design, and guide clients through transformational change. The Senior Implementation Consultant guides the overall design and delivery of the Dayforce HCM solution to meet customer requirements and provides oversight and direction to project team members in the execution of project activities in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (planning, discovery, design, configuration, testing, deployment, post go-live support). The Senior Implementation Consultant works closely with the Project Manager to plan the project and identify critical dependencies.
Project responsibilities include:
- Facilitation of customer requirements gathering
- Design of the Dayforce solution to meet documented customer requirements
- Setting and managing customer expectations
- Providing guidance and design/configuration oversight to other project resources
- Identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager
What you’ll get to do:
- Provide Implementation Services to customers:
- Document and validate customer’s HCM business requirements and map to Dayforce functionality
- Design and document innovative solutions to solve customers’ business needs
- Share best practice and challenge customer requirements
- Configure Dayforce to meet customer’s business requirements
- Conduct consulting sessions (remote and in-person); produce design documents and meeting minutes
- Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise, including post-implementation and quality assurance services
- Actively participate in customer testing cycles, addressing and resolving any identified issues promptly
- Act as subject matter expert (SME) on strategic implementations for our internal teams, our customers and our partners
- Attend internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables
Contribute to Internal Implementation Initiatives:
- Design and document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository
- Document best practices and share with the Practice
- Regularly take part in internal process improvement initiatives
Focus on Continuing Education:
- Contribute to internal knowledge share; review questions and provide feedback on a continuous basis
- Mentor junior consultants on best practice implementation of new product features and functionality, including new customer end to end implementations
- Participate in Continuing Education sessions, lead Implementation best practice sessions
- Complete new release training on a timely basis; be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release
- Grow your knowledge of Dayforce functionality; complete cross-training to expand your expertise
Skills and experience we value:
- 5+ years of experience in human capital management application consulting or 3+ years in a consultant role with Dayforce HCM
- Strong understanding of relational database systems and proficiency with SQL, XML, and/or XSLT
- Familiarity with web services technologies such as RESTful APIs
- Experience working with software in a SaaS (Software as a Service) / Cloud computing environment
- Experience with one or more of the following applications: Dayforce (preferred), Workday, SalesForce.com, SAP, PeopleSoft, Kronos, Workbrain/Infor, Oracle HR/Payroll, Sage
- Strong customer relationship management skills and business acumen
- Ability to support and deliver medium-to-large scale implementations with guidance on highly complex workstreams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and project deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to solution design and configuration activities
- Experience supporting testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution during implementations
- Ability to provide functional and technical guidance to associate consultants and project team members
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to build trust with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to travel internationally and work on client site
