About the opportunity The Employee Relations (ER) Manager is responsible for addressing employee relations matters ranging from performance management issues and policy violations and interpretation to investigating and resolving employee complaints The role requires the ability to analyze sophisticated information, develop valid fact-based conclusions using a variety of resources and techniques, and present findings to all levels of management and leadership. This role is also responsible for leading employee relations training and assistance activities aligned with Dayforce’s performance management strategy and processes. What you'll get to do Manage complex, high risk and sensitive workplace issues and conflicts, including workplace investigations, escalated performance management and involuntary terminations. Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Serve as a point of contact for escalated employee relations questions and provide relevant and effective guidance to HR partners and business leaders as applicable. In collaboration with HR partners and key stakeholders, apply a solid understanding of company policy, culture and Values to identify creative solution-based approaches. Assess and resolve employee relations matters by reviewing, assessing risk, compiling and preparing evidence to support appropriate recommendations. Track investigations and disciplinary actions in centralized internal systems, and report on trends. Identify design and process inefficiencies and recommend improvements or develop and implement appropriate solutions to meet new requirements. Proactively identify ways to prevent or reduce employee relations issues through the implementation of additional policies and procedures, training and communications. Partner with HR team members to address disability leave management, reintegration and accommodation requests. Establish strong relationships by delivering quality and timely service. Perform other related duties as needed or assigned. Skills and experience we value Thorough understanding of human resources and employee relations principles, practices, and procedures. Strong problem-solving skills with ability to apply sound judgement Knowledge of employment and labor laws/ regulations in Mauritius. EMEA market knowledge will be an advantage Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with HR Partners, employees and other stakeholders. Ability to compile, research, and analyze information. Experience working with teams across locations and geographies Ability to multitask while remaining organized; able to set priorities and meet deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
