Purpose of the Job

Our Senior Account Managers work alongside Account Directors, client stakeholders and other HH Global colleagues to ensure solutions are developed and delivered on time and against operational and financial business targets. You’ll be a leader who can focus on the vision and strategies of the account—managing the tactical components of running the daily business, balancing daily support needs with long-term strategy and successfully combining vision and reality into effective plans. This role combines pitching and strategic planning as well as driving excellent project delivery for existing clients. Our client is a global brand within the Healthcare sector. We deliver their website content aimed at Doctors and Nurses (healthcare professionals – HCPs) and patients. Most of our work is digital based and we originate and design content with scientific content. This role operates on a blended basis between the local HH Global office and home as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a leading role in the delivery of client satisfaction through client liaison and the management of internal resource departments, your client engagement team and external suppliers.
  • Own and resolve issues, quality concerns or corrective actions – influence client thinking to produce outstanding results.
  • Manage the ongoing personal development of your team members through appraisals, one-to-one meetings, mentoring and training.
  • Develop effective account growth strategies and manage opportunities for the client, building yearly development plans and managing the overall financial performance and success of the account.
  • Providing technical input and advice on projects as required to achieve high quality standards.
  • Regular MI reporting, production of account relationship plans, risk identification and management.
  • Relationship management with all key stakeholders.
  • Ownership of client account financial targets, turnover and profitability.
  • Be able to maintain and drive the WIP, budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Confidently produce detailed estimates, even for new offerings.
  • Defining the project, building the project quotation for internal and 3rd party services.
  • Monitoring and controlling the project schedule, immediately communicating to the client any changes or delays.
  • Constantly be alert to opportunities for organic growth of existing accounts.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

  • Advanced client service management experience, including time spent working on developing and maintaining client relationships and across multiple vendors.
  • Healthcare Creative agency background, MedEd or MedComms.
  • Brand expertise in both primary and secondary care.
  • Sound understanding of science and medicine, the healthcare environment and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Digitally savvy and a willingness to find new and exciting ways to communicate using healthcare/pharmaceutical insight to help shape the clients’ brands strategic or tactical plans.
  • Understand and have the ability to apply the ABPI code of practice where required.
  • Strong negotiation and consensus building skills when dealing with internal customers, stakeholders and team members.
  • Has built client success – delivered account planning, client service plans, KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, strategic account leadership and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • People Management experience including performance management and team leadership.
  • A proven track record of operational management for client services departments, P+L / budget management and account level financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), with clarity of expression and the ability to present to and influence various stakeholder groups at all levels of seniority.
