Daybreak’s treasurer plays a vital part in enabling our charity to function and deliver on its pledge to service users. The treasurer’s overall role is to maintain an overview of our organisation’s affairs, ensure its financial viability, and uphold proper financial records and procedures.

Your insight will be vital in ensuring that Daybreak fulfils its duty to its beneficiaries by forging bonds between individuals and helping families/communities find strength in unity.

What will you be doing?

  • Chairing the Audit Committee.
  • Ensuring that Daybreak’s financial resources meet needs.
  • Liaising with the CEO and Finance Manager about financial matters.
  • Advising on the financial implications of our charity’s strategic plans.
  • Monitoring our organisation’s investment activity to ensure that it is consistent with our policies, legal responsibilities, values, and objectives.
  • Keeping the board informed about its financial duties and responsibilities, including presentation of the accounts.
