About Day1Data

Day1Data is a fast-growing B2B data analytics startup helping marketing teams measure incrementality and make smarter decisions. From marketing mix modelling to forecasting and data infrastructure, we help leading global brands understand what truly drives growth. This is an exciting time to join as we're a small, high-impact team working with clients like PerfectTed, Healf, Heights, Zepz & WorldRemit.

The Role

We're looking for a Data Analyst to sit at the heart of our client delivery work. You'll be the person who turns data into clear, actionable answers, building dashboards, owning reporting pipelines and working directly with clients to help them understand their performance. This is a client-facing role at a marketing analytics agency, which means variety is guaranteed. One week you might be diagnosing a broken attribution pipeline; the next you're presenting channel performance findings to a brand's senior marketing team. You'll work closely with our analytics engineers and data scientists, acting as the bridge between the data layer and the marketing teams who depend on it.

What You'll Do

  • Marketing Analytics & Insight
    • Analyse marketing performance data across channels including paid search, paid social, display, email and organic.
    • Translate complex data into clear, concise insights and recommendations for client marketing teams.
    • Support incrementality testing, attribution analysis and campaign measurement projects.
    • Help clients understand what's driving growth and what isn't.
  • Dashboarding & Reporting
    • Build and maintain client-facing dashboards in ThoughtSpot, Looker Studio, Tableau or similar BI tools.
    • Define and document consistent metrics and KPI definitions across client accounts.
    • Ensure reports are accurate, timely and easy for non-technical stakeholders to act on.
    • Iterate on dashboards based on client feedback and evolving business questions.
  • Data Pipelines & Infrastructure
    • Write and maintain SQL transformations that feed client reporting and dashboards.
    • Work with dbt models and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery or Snowflake) to prepare analytics-ready datasets.
    • Ingest and connect data from marketing platforms including Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and others via tools like Fivetran.
    • Debug data issues end-to-end from source ingestion through to what the client sees on screen.
  • Client Communication & Delivery
    • Act as a day-to-day analytics contact for a portfolio of clients.
    • Run regular reporting calls, presenting findings clearly and fielding data questions on the spot.
    • Translate vague client briefs into well-defined analytical questions and actionable outputs.
    • Manage multiple client workstreams simultaneously, prioritising effectively under pressure.

What You'll Need

  • 2-3 years of experience in an analytics, data analytics or similar role.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to write and debug complex queries independently.
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one BI tool Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau or similar.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing channels and how performance is measured across them.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
  • Comfortable presenting findings and fielding questions from senior marketing stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines at once.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with dbt or similar transformation tooling.
  • Familiarity with marketing data ingestion tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte.
  • Exposure to marketing mix modelling, incrementality testing or media planning.
  • Working knowledge of Python for automation or analytics.

Who You Are

  • You're as comfortable talking to clients as you are writing SQL.
  • You take ownership of your work and follow things through without being chased.
  • You ask good questions of the data, and of the brief.
  • You can simplify complexity without losing accuracy.
  • You thrive in variety and don't need a fixed playbook to do great work.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary + equity
  • Clear path to senior
  • Real ownership from day 1
  • Work directly with the founder and a tight-knit, high-calibre team
  • Hands-on variety across global brand clients and SaaS product build
  • Early-stage upside join at a pivotal moment in Day1Data's growth
