Day Webster are currently recruiting a Band 7 Nuclear Medicine Radiographer/Technologist for a Hospital based in London.
Our client is looking for the ideal candidate to start ASAP, Ongoing. The shift pattern would be Full time hours, although the service would consider other suitable work patterns for the right candidate.
Shift patterns – 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 11am-7pm and 12pm-8pm
Monday to Friday
Job Summary:
• The post holder will be required to perform a wide range of general nuclear medicine, PET and CT procedures to a high standard and provide professional support and leadership to colleagues in a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be required to problem-solve on day-to-day issues with running of the camera, dealing with doctor/reporting enquiries, supporting the General Manager, Operational & Deputy Superintendents, lead by example by emulating trust values and participate in undertaking audits, deliver service improvements and support staff mentoring and training. You will also be a strong role model for colleagues and junior staff and have an emotionally intelligent approach to change management.
Essential skills needed for the role:
• Desirable- knows Siemens PET Scanners and GE PET Scanners; knows GE gamma cameras and Xeleris; knows Hologic DXA
• Essential- Can cannulate, prepare and administer radioactive injections, knows a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures and able to troubleshoot in challenging situations; very knowledge in PET CT and has worked with different tracers (FDG, Gallium, Neuroceq, etc).
