Opportunity London College of Communication is seeking an experienced academic to design teaching and learning materials for a new fully online MA in Photography and Digital Practices. The post is for 2 days per week over 8.5 months, beginning in August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Course Leader to develop unit content that supports a global audience of online learners.
- Work with Learning Designers and the UAL Online production team to create flexible, inclusive, and inspiring learning experiences.
- Nurture experimentation, engagement with digital tools, and support students to develop contemporary digital practices.
- Promote experimentation, engagement with digital tools, and student development within a fully online context.
Qualifications
- Specialist teaching experience in image‑based creative practice with a demonstrable background in photography and, ideally, other forms of digital image‑making.
- Extensive conceptual and practical experience of socially engaged, collaborative, and networked practices.
- In‑depth understanding of how photography operates across digital platforms and communities online, including critical engagement with identity, representation, ethics, platform circulation, and community building.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative skills, and willingness to use Miro and shared documents.
- Ability to work with project managers, learning designers, and others in a mixed‑discipline team under tight deadlines.
- Open to the advantages of flexible fully online delivery to widen access to Higher Education.
