Central Saint Martins (CSM) offers an exciting opportunity for a Student Recruitment Manager to join our vibrant team. You will plan and manage student recruitment activity that contributes to the University’s mission of empowering individuals to shape culture, society and the economy through creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage student recruitment activity to support UAL mission.
  • Design and deliver a comprehensive engagement strategy that integrates both in-person and digital approaches, including digital workshops, portfolio advice sessions, student counselling and advisory support for prospective students from target schools, colleges and regions.
  • Plan and deliver College open days that effectively showcase CSM, ensuring accessibility for prospective students regardless of location; coordinate campus tours, visits and participation in global recruitment events such as UCAS, British Council and other higher education guidance events.
  • Develop and implement a cohesive strategy in partnership with the Student Marketing Manager to support progression from the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design, coordinating recruitment activity and managing the Student Ambassador programme.
  • Use CRM systems to manage student enquiries from initial contact through to enrolment.
  • Build and maintain effective internal and external networks, developing productive relationships across teams and organisations to support collaboration and influence decision‑making.
  • Manage, supervise or mentor staff.

Qualifications

  • Degree level education or equivalent, with strong knowledge of art and design, creative arts in higher education, and the wider creative and cultural industries.
  • Clear understanding of skills and approaches required to work effectively with schools and colleges in a liaison capacity, and insight into key issues shaping art and design education across secondary, further and higher education contexts.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering a broad portfolio of higher education recruitment activity, with ability to evaluate impact and continuously improve outcomes against defined objectives.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively, tailoring approach to different audiences and simplifying information when required.
  • Experience of using CRM systems to manage student enquiries through the recruitment cycle.
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective internal and external networks.
  • Experience managing, supervising or mentoring staff.
