Opportunity London College of Fashion invites applications for a Specialist Technician in Garment Technology. In this role you will support the development of technical skills for the next generation of fashion professionals in a technically-focused educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance in garment construction, pattern cutting, and garment technology across lectures, workshops, and practical sessions.
- Deliver specialised workshops on garment construction processes and pattern‑cutting technology for both womenswear and menswear, using specialist machinery.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring that all achieve the required technical competence.
- Maintain industry standards and incorporate innovative methods into the curriculum.
- Participate in teaching and learning activities, including grading and assessment of practical work.
- Work evenings and weekends as required to support student learning.
Qualifications
- Applicants should hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification in fashion technology, or possess substantial industry experience in garment construction with a comprehensive understanding of pattern cutting for womenswear and menswear.
