London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London is looking for a Placements Officer to join our Graduate Futures team. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused administrator with strong relationship-building skills to play a key role in securing industry placements for students at one of the world’s leading arts universities.

Graduate Futures plays a key role in improving student experience, retention and attainment. It enables our students and graduates to fulfil their career ambitions by acknowledging their individuality, supporting their growth and connecting and collaborating with alumni and industry partners.

As a Placements Officer, you will join a team that supports undergraduate placement activity and contributes to the development of employability within the curriculum. You will engage with existing industry contacts to create student work opportunities for both long and short-term accredited placements, while working flexibly within the team to provide CV guidance sessions and practical support for students preparing for placements. You will also provide essential administrative support for placement activity, working collaboratively with students, industry partners and academic colleagues.

In addition to this, you will build and nurture relationships across the University and with external organisations to strengthen cooperation and collaboration within the Graduate Futures team, maximising the impact of available resources and expertise.

Your profile

You will be educated to A level standard or have equivalent relevant experience and will demonstrate strong client relationship-building skills alongside proven administrative experience in a fast-paced environment. You will be an effective team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to organise and prioritise your workload effectively. Previous experience of careers coaching or providing advice and guidance would be advantageous.
