Opportunity
London College of Fashion (LCF) is seeking an experienced academic to join the Performance Programme based in our School of Media and Communication.
This exciting opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the delivery and development of teaching, learning and scholarly activity within a dynamic and innovative programme.
As a Lecturer, you will support students in developing the technical, creative and design skills required for careers in hair, make-up and prosthetics for performance, working within state‑of‑the‑art facilities to build expertise across a range of performance genres while encouraging both specialist practice and broader professional development.
Responsibilities
- Support students in developing technical, creative and design skills required for careers in hair, make-up and prosthetics for performance.
- Deliver teaching, learning and scholarly activities within the Performance Programme.
- Work closely with colleagues on the course team to advance the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.
- Provide pastoral support for a year group of students, monitoring progress and attendance, maintaining accurate records and liaising with colleagues as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject area.
- Previous teaching and assessment experience in Higher Education or an equivalent context.
- Higher degree, teaching qualification or Fellowship of the Advance Higher Education Academy (Advance HE) is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills; ability to apply creative and inclusive approaches to teaching, learning and professional practice.
