Shape the future of contemporary painting at one of the world’s leading creative universities. This is an opportunity for a practising artist and educator to bring expertise in contemporary painting into a vibrant undergraduate community, supporting students to question, experiment and develop their own distinctive creative voices and help develop a curriculum that is ambitious, inclusive and critically engaged.
Responsibilities
- Teach and assess in the Fine Art Programme across Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon colleges.
- Contribute to curriculum development and challenge traditional canons to expand the critical, cultural and theoretical possibilities of painting today.
- Support students to question, experiment, develop their creative voices, and build positive relationships to support academic progress, confidence and creative development.
Qualifications
- Experience of teaching and assessment in a higher education environment, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge of contemporary painting and its theoretical underpinning.
- Evidence of research, teaching, knowledge exchange and/or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of fine art, painting or relevant creative activity.
- Collaborative, reflective, student‑centred approach, ability to work effectively as part of a course team.
- Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Inquiring, innovative approach to teaching and problem‑solving.
