Overview

London College of Communication (LCC) is looking for a motivated individual with excellent cataloguing skills to work within our Archives on a 12 month fixed term basis.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of high quality and student-focused archives and museum services supporting academic activities.
  • Catalogue museum and archive collections using internationally recognised standards such as ISAD(G) in liaison with collections staff.
  • Appraise, catalogue and promote an extensive range of printed ephemera, design and comic collections held by the Archives and Special Collections Centre (ASCC) in support of a planned move in 2026/7.
  • Create realistic plans to meet agreed deadlines and objectives and provide guidance and support to colleagues and diverse users accessing the collections.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in archives and records management or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working to international standards in cataloguing and collections care.
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the academic context of the University.
