Purpose of Role

The Order Desk Executive plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and client retention by delivering accurate, timely, and competitive quotations and order solutions. Acting as a key link between customers, Account Managers, and operational teams, the role is responsible for converting enquiries into orders, maximising sales opportunities, and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the order lifecycle. The successful candidate will proactively support business development efforts, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to the achievement of company sales objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales & Customer Growth
    • Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive quotations that support revenue growth and customer retention.
    • Proactively follow up on quotations, enquiries, and outstanding opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
    • Identify opportunities to upsell, cross-sell, and introduce additional products and services that add value to customers.
    • Support Account Managers in developing existing accounts and securing new business opportunities.
    • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through exceptional service and responsive communication.
  • Order Management & Customer Experience
    • Manage customer orders from enquiry through to fulfilment, ensuring a seamless and professional customer experience.
    • Provide customers with timely updates on order status, lead times, and delivery schedules.
    • Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, pharmacy, and accounts teams to ensure efficient order execution and customer satisfaction.
    • Resolve customer queries and issues promptly, maintaining high levels of customer confidence and trust.
  • Commercial & Operational Support
    • Maintain accurate customer, quotation, and order information within company systems.
    • Monitor quote-to-order conversion performance and support initiatives to improve sales effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service, sales performance, and process efficiency.
    • Support business reporting by providing accurate commercial and operational data.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in business administration and/or experience in a global manufacturing and or supply chain environment. GCSE / A Levels Math & English. Company sponsorship not provided.
