Pharmacy Dispenser – Loughton
£13.50 per hour | 40 hours | Monday–Friday | 9am–6pm
No weekends. A proper Monday-to-Friday role.
We’re looking for an experienced Pharmacy Dispenser to join our Day Lewis Pharmacy in Loughton (224). Currently dispensing around 8,000 items. Offering a range of NHS and Private Services. Moderate healthcare sales and retail area to look after ( currently split evenly between team on rota).
This is a full-time, 40-hour position working Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm, ideal for someone who already has pharmacy experience and wants a permanent role where they can really become part of the team. (Less hours is not an option as this is the only full time role in pharmacy for consistency)
What makes this role a little different?
Loughton 224 is going through an exciting period of change. We currently use ProScript, but will soon be moving across to Apotec, bringing a new way of working into the pharmacy.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your entire day behind the dispensary bench. We’re looking for someone who enjoys the variety of community pharmacy and is happy working across both the dispensary and retail side of the business.
Your day will include:
- Dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Supporting the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team
- Helping manage the day-to-day dispensary workload
- Serving and advising customers
- Working within the retail side of the pharmacy
- Keeping the pharmacy organised and maintaining high standards
- Providing the friendly, personal service our patients expect

- Has previous community pharmacy/dispenser experience
- Is confident working in a busy pharmacy environment
- Enjoys speaking to and helping customers
- Is comfortable working across both retail and dispensary
- Works well as part of a team
- Wants a stable, full-time Monday-to-Friday position
