ABOUT THE ROLE

Day Lewis is one of the UK's leading independent pharmacy groups, with 235+ pharmacies, multiple warehouses and a growing NHS and private services portfolio. We are looking for an ambitious, digitally confident graduate to join our Commercial Team as a Graduate Commercial & Category Executive, working closely with our Day Lewis & Harrods Pharmacy Category Manager.
This is a broad and high-profile role supporting category performance, supplier coordination, commercial analysis, product launches and high-profile projects including the Harrods Pharmacy relocation. You will use AI tools day-to-day to improve productivity, analysis and reporting. We welcome applications from graduates who are curious, analytical and commercially minded.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Category management

  • Support product categories across Day Lewis and Harrods Pharmacy, maintaining trackers, promotional calendars and supplier documentation.
  • Assist with new product launches, range reviews, competitor monitoring and preparation of supplier meeting packs.
  • Support pricing and promotional planning and monitor performance against agreed plans.

Commercial analysis

  • Produce weekly and monthly KPI reporting on sales, margin, pricing and promotional performance.
  • Bring information together from multiple sources into clear, accurate summaries that help managers make faster, better decisions.
  • Prepare simple, practical recommendations and business cases for growth opportunities.

Projects and Harrods relocation support

  • Maintain project plans, RAID logs and action trackers for commercial projects and the Harrods Pharmacy relocation.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, follow up actions and produce concise progress reports for senior leadership.
  • Support Harrods commercial activity, including merchandising, supplier engagement and stakeholder communications.

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN

Broad exposure: Category, supplier, projects and analysis exposure from day one, no two weeks the same.

Real responsibility: Own commercial workstreams and support delivery of high-profile projects including Harrods.

Fast development: Direct mentoring from an experienced Category Manager, with visibility across leadership.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • A recent graduate, ideally in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Retail Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, able to interpret data and translate it into clear business insight.
  • Advanced Excel capability and confidence producing structured reports, trackers and analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Microsoft 365 skills, with the ability to create polished, senior-ready presentation packs.
  • Demonstrable experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or equivalent to improve productivity, analyse data, create reports, develop presentations and automate routine tasks.
  • Ability to write effective AI prompts and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, quality and business relevance.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple workstreams and deadlines.
  • A clear, accurate writer and confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Proactive and positive β€” comfortable taking ownership, asking questions and following things through.

Desirable

  • Placement year, internship or early-career experience in retail, pharmacy, FMCG, consumer goods or commercial operations.
  • Experience with Power BI or other dashboarding and visualisation tools.
  • Exposure to supplier meetings, promotional planning, project coordination or category management.
  • Interest in luxury retail, pharmacy services or customer experience.
