Retail & Pharmacy growth Pharmacy Assistant Manager
This is a unique role we want to develop from scratch
Full Time | Mill Hill, London | 12-Month Fixed-Term Trial
We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Pharmacy Assistant to join our teams across Mill Hill.
Address: 64 The Broadway, Mill Hill, London, NW7 3TE
Address: 8 Bittacy Hill, Mill Hill East, London, NW7 1LB
Both pharmacies have recently relocated, creating a great opportunity to grow the businesses across retail, NHS prescription items, NHS services and private healthcare services.
This is a little different from a traditional Pharmacy Assistant role. We’re looking for someone with strong medicines and healthcare product knowledge, retail management experience and a real drive for business growth.
You’ll be a core member of both teams, helping us to:
- Maintain excellent retail, merchandising and pharmacy standards
- Develop current teams with customer service, retail knowledge and sales tips
- Use strong medicines and healthcare product knowledge to confidently support customers with appropriate recommendations
- Grow healthcare and retail sales through recommendations and link selling
- Train and support the teams to improve their product knowledge, confidence and selling skills
- Review the product range and identify opportunities to improve our healthcare and retail offering
- Grow NHS and private pharmacy services
- Help increase our patient base and NHS prescription items
- Build strong relationships with existing patients while attracting new customers
- Develop relationships within the local community, including GP surgeries, dental practices and other healthcare providers
- Promote both pharmacies and raise awareness of the services available
- Set, monitor and review KPIs, using performance to identify where further growth or action is needed
- Bring innovative ideas and look for new business opportunities across both pharmacies
- Take ownership of initiatives and help turn new ideas into measurable results
You’ll be someone who is:
Confident and engaging with customers
Knowledgeable about medicines, healthcare products and pharmacy retail
Commercially aware with previous retail management or growth experience
Comfortable setting targets and monitoring KPIs and sales performance
Good at motivating, coaching and developing others
Proactive and organised
Naturally interested in spotting new business and service opportunities
A strong communicator who can build relationships both inside the pharmacy and within the local healthcare community
A role with room to grow
This is also a great opportunity for someone ambitious who wants to develop their career beyond the traditional Pharmacy Assistant route.
For the right person, the experience gained could lead to wider opportunities across London, including Change Champion and project management roles, Regional Support Manager Elect, Regional Support Manager and Support Office-based roles.
The position will initially be offered as a 12-month fixed-term trial while we establish this new role across both pharmacies. If the trial is successful, our intention would be for the position to continue and develop further
If you love community pharmacy but also have a passion for healthcare retail, customer experience, business development and finding new ways to grow, this is an opportunity to make a real impact across two newly relocated pharmacies and potentially build the next stage of your career.
