As an HGV Driver at Day Group Ltd, you will be an essential part of our logistics and delivery operation, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of materials across our sites and to our customers. Operating at the forefront of our service, you will play a key role in upholding our reputation for reliability, professionalism, and safety. This role is suited to an experienced and confident driver who takes pride in representing the company on the road and at customer sites, while working as part of a wider team that supports the growth and efficiency of the business.
Package
- Annual salary plus the 9% non‑contributory pension with Scottish Widows.
- You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses.
- Annual leave of 29 days per year, including 8 Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring safe and timely deliveries to our customers.
- Bulk tipping and aggregates deliveries.
- The completion of daily vehicle checks and correct defect reporting, to ensure we always remain legal and compliant.
- Be a good ambassador for the Company both on the road and on site.
Person Specification
- Hold C Licence.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Tachograph rules and regulations.
- Tipping experience is preferable, but not essential.
- Reliable, able to prioritise workload.
- Have methodical approach.
- A professional, positive and flexible attitude at all times.
This role requires the use of a tablet to complete daily walk round submissions and other associated software to complete deliveries. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Working hours/times
- 10 hours per day Monday – Friday, between the hours of 06:00‑18:00 with a 1‑hour break for lunch (unpaid), and 07:00‑12:00 on alternate Saturdays, with a 30 minute break (unpaid).
