About the Role

As a Depot Operative at Day Group Ltd, you will be a key part of a fast‑paced, safety‑driven team, responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our Beaconsfield production site. Working within a close‑knit group, you will ensure materials are handled, processed and moved safely and effectively, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality service across the business. We are looking for someone who takes pride in hands‑on work, values teamwork and understands the importance of keeping the site safe, clean and productive.

Package

  • Annual salary plus the 9% non‑contributory pension with Scottish Widows.
  • You may be entitled to the discretionary annual and Christmas bonuses.
  • Annual leave of 25 days per year, plus 8 bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain the bagging plant in line with production schedules and safety standards.
  • Safely move and manage large quantities of aggregates within bays and across the depot using heavy machinery.
  • Provide support to other Depot Operatives as needed to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly site, taking shared responsibility for health, safety and housekeeping.

Person Specification

  • Positive, can‑do attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team in a busy environment.
  • A flexible and responsible approach to work, with a keen eye for safety and detail.
  • Experience of driving telescopic handlers or forklift trucks is advantageous (training can be provided for the right candidate).

Working hours/times

45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0700 – 1700, including 1 hour unpaid break.
