Depot Operative — Overview
As a Depot Operative at Day Group Ltd, you will be a key part of a fast-paced, safety-driven team, responsible for the smooth and efficient running of our Cerney Wick production site. Working within a close-knit group, you will ensure materials are handled, processed, and moved safely and effectively, contributing to the delivery of high-quality service across the business.
Depot Operative — Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the bagging plant in line with production schedules and safety standards
- Safely move and manage large quantities of aggregates within bays and across the depot using heavy machinery
- Provide support to other Depot Operatives as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Maintain a clean and orderly site, taking shared responsibility for health, safety, and housekeeping
Depot Operative — Person Specification
- Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
- Ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team in a busy environment
- A flexible and responsible approach to work, with a keen eye for safety and detail
- Experience of driving Telescopic Handlers or Forklift Trucks is advantageous (training can be provided for the right candidate)

Working hours/times
45 hours, Monday – Friday, with a 1-hour break for lunch (unpaid)
Package
Annual salary plus the 9% employer pension contribution with Scottish Widows. You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses. Annual leave of 29 days per year, including 8 Bank Holidays.
