Overview

Day Group is looking for a flexible and reliable Site Operative to join our Filter Media team, to support the delivery specialist water treatment projects nationwide. This hands-on role involves plant operation, installation work, and site support across a variety of locations.

As a Site Operative within our Filter Media team at Day Group Ltd, you will be an essential part of delivering water treatment projects. This is a varied, hands-on role involving mobile plant operation, installation work, and site support activities, all within a team that values safety, reliability, and efficiency.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys practical work, has a flexible and reliable attitude, and can work confidently both as part of a team and independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a range of Mobile Plant where possible, including Excavators, Dumpers, Telehandlers, and Loading Shovels
  • Assist with installing pre-cast concrete tiles, pipework, and general site labouring
  • Operate Mobile Wash Plants, Screeners, and Conveyor Systems
  • Carry out site housekeeping duties and small civil works as required
  • Support the smooth delivery of filter media installation projects across multiple locations

Person Specification

  • Current CSCS and/or CPCS skills card (or equivalent EPIC) preferred, but not essential
  • Experience of operating Mobile Plant is desirable
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing site requirements
  • Comfortable working as part of a team and independently
  • Full UK driving licence is required
  • Willingness to travel, with early morning starts and overnight stays away from home when projects demand

Working hours

10 hours per day Monday – Friday, between 07:00-17:00 with a 1-hour paid break for lunch
