About the Role
As a Depot Supervisor at Day Group Ltd, you will be responsible for assisting the Depot Manager with the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and as efficiently as possible. We are looking for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, values teamwork, and understands the importance of keeping the site safe, clean, and productive.
Package
Annual salary plus the 9% non-contributory pension with Scottish Widows. You may be entitled to the discretionary Annual and Christmas bonuses. Annual leave of 25 days per year, plus 8 Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation of the Company Health & Safety Policy.
- Adherence to the Company Environmental and Quality Policies.
- Support the business objectives by improving productivity and quality.
- Take ownership of the procedures and work instructions within the department.
- Motivate and lead all depot staff by example, upholding the Company Visions & Values at all times.
- Organise the work and the staff to process the workload efficiently and effectively.
Other Duties
- Conduct any other reasonable request associated with this job function or the smooth running of the depot.
- Ensure the plant and equipment is subject to planned maintenance to maintain its safe working condition in order to optimise plant availability.
- Liaise with Logistics team to maximise customer satisfaction and minimise non-conformance and customer complaints.
- Develop understanding and experience of all site activities, including handling loose aggregates.
- Ensure that all production logs are completed accurately and submitted weekly.
Working Hours / Times
45 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0700 – 1700, including 1 hour unpaid break.
