Location: London
Purpose of the role: To provide leadership across and beyond the Council to support, guide and direct the implementation of appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the Council and the people it serves from cyber security threats. To encourage and support colleagues across and beyond the Council to understand the value of information and influence their attitudes and behaviours to ensure information is managed in line with appropriate technical and organisational measures.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- To work across and beyond the Council to establish, implement, maintain, and enforce a cyber security framework aligned with the Councils Digital, Data and AI strategy, relevant legislation, regulations, contractual commitments, and council priorities.
- To represent Digital Services on all matters relating to cyber security at Assurance Board, Audit Committee and Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Cabinet.
- To manage the performance of the cyber security function within Digital Service and deliver clear and concise reports on our performance and posture to senior management.
- To lead the design and implementation of innovative approaches to cyber security and develop appropriate solutions.
Qualifications:
- At least one of the following, or an equivalent qualification:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control)
