Keystreams Local Government team is supporting a London local authority with the delivery of a borough‑wide Windows 11 desktop refresh programme. We are now seeking an IT Deployment Coordinator to provide hands‑on operational support across the rollout. This is not a technical engineering role. It is a delivery coordination role, focused on scheduling, logistics, tracking, user engagement and deployment control. You will own the operational workload across the deployment, ensuring accurate data, smooth scheduling and effective communication while freeing senior project leadership to focus on governance and risk.
The Role – You Will
- Coordinate device deployments across multiple sites and user groups.
- Own deployment schedules, trackers, inventories and user data accuracy.
- Manage user communications and deployment instructions.
- Track issues, risks and dependencies and escalating early.
- Liaise with engineers, suppliers, service desk and business users.
- Maintain structured logs, documentation and reporting.
- Support a smooth, low‑disruption rollout across the organisation.
Essential Experience
- Experience supporting desktop refreshes, OS migrations or large‑scale device deployments.
- Strong coordination, scheduling and logistical support experience.
- Confidence working with spreadsheets, trackers, inventories and deployment logs.
- Excellent communication skills with non‑technical users.
- Ability to work independently, proactively and with high attention to detail.
- Experience working within structured project or programme environments.
Desirable
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and desktop hardware environments.
- Experience using service desk or ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
- Experience producing user communications or deployment guidance.
- Public sector or multi‑site organisation experience.
