About this Role
Dawsongroup EMC provides specialist asset rental to local authorities, utilities and the construction sector. We’re looking for someone with prior experience in a similar role to help deliver and maintain high-performance equipment and ensure our customers stay up and running. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role based out of our depot, where every day brings something different.
- Assist with delivery and collection of sweepers, refuse vehicles, tippers, and other specialist assets
- Support customer inductions and site-based commissioning
- Carry out first-line maintenance, inspections, and safety checks
- Respond to customer issues, ensuring service is swift, safe and professional
- Keep detailed records of asset condition, movement and handovers
About You
You’ve worked in a similar field and understand how important reliable equipment is to frontline services. You\’re proactive, hands-on, and happy juggling varied tasks—sometimes at short notice.
- Previous experience in municipal, civil, plant hire or commercial vehicle roles
- Confident working with and around large machinery or specialist vehicles
- Good communication skills and a customer-first mindset
- A strong team player with the ability to work independently
- Safety-aware and comfortable with basic inspections or repairs
