Do you have experience in fleet operations, engineering support or transport coordination and enjoy overseeing activities to keep everything running smoothly? The Operations & Engineering Support Controller role sits at the heart of our Truck and Trailer Business Unit, bringing together customer service, fleet compliance, engineering coordination and operational performance to help deliver a best‑in‑class experience for customers and suppliers.

Support the day‑to‑day management of fleet operations, engineering activity and customer service delivery.

  • Work closely with engineering teams to improve compliance, maintenance planning, MOT scheduling and WIP management.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues across the business.
  • Monitor operational and engineering KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership support across the branch, including coaching colleagues and covering key operational activities when required.

You might already be working in truck and trailer rental, transport, fleet management, logistics, workshop administration or a similar operational environment. More importantly, you'll enjoy solving problems, building relationships and helping teams deliver outstanding service every day.

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Confident communicating with customers, suppliers, drivers and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to balance commercial awareness with a strong focus on compliance and customer experience.
  • Organised and detail focused when handling fleet records, maintenance processes and operational reporting.
