About this Role

As a Mobile Mechanic within our Vans division, you will play a key part in keeping our fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles safe, compliant, and ready for customers. This mobile vehicle technician role gives you the autonomy to manage your day while being supported by a well-established engineering and branch network.

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across customer sites and Dawsongroup Vans depots.
  • Support fleet condition and tyre management in line with company and legislative standards.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
  • Record all work completed accurately using digital systems.
  • Represent Dawsongroup professionally when working on customer sites.

About You

You enjoy problem solving, working independently, and taking pride in the quality of your work. You are someone who values safety, organisation, and customer service, and you do not need to tick every box to apply.

  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Experience working as a mobile mechanic or vehicle technician.
  • Recognised qualification in vehicle maintenance, repair, or vehicle technology.
  • Comfortable working on cars and light commercial vehicles, with tyre knowledge an advantage.
  • Good time management, communication skills, and a reliable approach to work
