About this Role
Are you a professional Class 1 Driver who enjoys variety, responsibility and being trusted to represent a respected brand? As a Class 1 Driver within our Dawsongroup Truck and Trailer branch, you will play a key role in keeping our rental operation running smoothly by delivering, collecting and preparing vehicles to the highest standards. This role offers more than just driving; it gives you exposure to a wide range of vehicles, locations and daily tasks within a supportive and well organised operation.
- Delivering and collecting trucks and trailers to customer sites, branches and workshops.
- Presenting vehicles for MOT and ensuring they are moved and parked safely on site.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects promptly.
- Cleaning vehicles inside and out to Dawsongroup standards.
- Supporting the branch with varied duties including check ins, check outs and occasional passenger driving.
About You
You take pride in your driving, your professionalism and the way you interact with customers and colleagues. You understand the importance of safety, compliance and representing the business positively wherever you go.
- Hold a valid UK Class 1 LGV HGV driving licence.
- Hold a current UK Driver Qualification Card.
- Confident completing basic paperwork and vehicle checks.
- A polite, professional and customer focused approach.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle varied journeys and tasks.
