This Workshop Engineer role with Dawsongroup EMC could be exactly what you have been searching for, supporting a modern hire fleet of sweepers and specialist municipal equipment from our Brighouse operation.

  • Carry out equipment repairs, servicing and pre-hire inspections across the DGEMC hire fleet
  • Complete electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections and MOT preparation checks on sweepers and specialist equipment
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality and compliance
  • Maintain accurate workshop records including parts used, repair details and time taken

About You

You enjoy solving problems, take pride in doing a job properly and understand the importance of keeping equipment safe, compliant and customer ready. Whether you already work within municipal, MHE, HGV, plant, fleet or commercial vehicle engineering, or you have transferable mechanical experience, we would still love to hear from you.

  • Comfortable carrying out servicing, inspections and fault finding with minimal supervision
  • Able to work safely and follow health, safety and environmental procedures at all times
  • Confident working across electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
  • Organised and reliable when completing paperwork and workshop records
  • A team player who is happy supporting wider workshop and operational activities when needed
