About This Role

Are you a Compliance Manager, Engineering Manager or experienced Technical Manager looking for a role where you can influence engineering standards across a varied national fleet?

As our Compliance Network & Engineering Manager within Dawsongroup EMC, you will take a leading role in our Service, Maintenance & Repair network, supporting our compliance engineers, managing key supplier relationships and helping us deliver safe, compliant and commercially effective engineering solutions.

  • Lead the effective management of our SMR supply chain, including OEMs, main dealers, parts suppliers and third party repairers.
  • Manage our compliance engineers and third party repair network, carrying out regular audits and ensuring standards meet DVSA requirements.
  • Provide in life technical support across HGV, LCV and plant assets, helping resolve service, engineering and OEM issues.
  • Develop supplier SLAs, technical specifications and engineering solutions alongside Procurement, SHEQ, Operations, Workshops and other internal teams.
  • Build productive OEM and supplier relationships, including warranties, downtime issues, compensation and aftersales support.

About You

You will bring a strong engineering background and enough technical knowledge to confidently challenge, support and influence suppliers, colleagues and engineering partners.

Just as importantly, you will be comfortable taking ownership, building relationships across different teams and turning technical challenges into practical solutions.

  • Experience working in an engineering or technical environment involving plant, vehicles, HGVs, LCVs or other relevant assets.
  • Strong product knowledge, with the ability to contribute to or produce technical specifications for vehicles, plant, tools or equipment.
  • Confident communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and stakeholders at different levels.
  • A strong customer focus, good organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities against deadlines.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft packages and learning new systems and software.
