As a Valeter, you will be responsible for preparing, checking, and presenting vehicles to the high standards our customers expect. This role is central to keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and ready for hire, combining hands-on vehicle preparation with careful checks and accurate recording.
- Cleaning vans inside and out to Dawsongroup standards.
- Checking new vehicles on delivery to site and recording condition.
- Inspecting vehicles on customer return and collection, noting usage and any damage.
- Completing electronic documentation for vehicle arrivals and disposals.
- Carrying out minor repairs and adjustments, including tasks such as tyre changes and mirror glass replacement.
- Monitoring quality and performance against agreed daily cleaning and inspection targets.
- Escalating any major defects, damage, or safety concerns promptly to management.
- Representing the business professionally and courteously when interacting with customers.
- Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
- Supporting additional duties as required to meet operational needs.
