Overview
We\’re looking for a Workshop Engineer/Technician to maintain, repair and prepare our hire fleet vehicles, including sweepers and specialist equipment. You\’ll be based at our Brighouse depot, playing a key part in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and ready to go. Whether you\’re already in municipal engineering or have transferable skills from another sector, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of vehicles and equipment
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Work on hydraulic and electrical systems (we\\\’ll support your learning)
- Prepare and deliver vehicles for MOT testing
- Help with stock checks and general fleet readiness
- Keep accurate service records and communicate effectively with customers
Qualifications
- Experience in a mechanical or engineering role
- Level 2 mechanical or engineering qualification (or equivalent)
- Full, valid UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and solve issues efficiently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
