As an Asset Compliance Engineer within our Environmental Municipal Civil business, this role is ideally suited to an HGV Mechanic looking to use their skills in a varied, mobile engineering position. Working across customer sites and DGEMC workshops, you will keep our specialist hire fleet compliant, safe, and ready for operation.
- Carry out servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and specialist municipal vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and braking faults with confidence
- Plan and complete PMI inspections in line with O Licence requirements
- Support hire contract activity including on hire and off hire processes
You are an HGV Mechanic who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and working directly with customers. You take pride in compliance, safety, and doing the job properly.
- Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or similar role
- Confident working with engines, gearboxes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and braking systems
- Able to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
- Strong communication skills and a professional approach with customers and colleagues
- Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel to customer sites
