Do you have experience as a Fleet Administration Assistant, Fleet Administrator or Fleet Services Advisor and are now looking for your next step? The Fleet Administration Assistant role within Dawsongroup Vans is a pivotal operational position focused on maintaining fleet compliance, delivering excellent customer service and supporting overall branch performance.

Reporting to the Operations Maintenance & Damage Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our hire fleet remains compliant, roadworthy, clean and fit for hire, while supporting branch targets and managing recharge recovery processes efficiently and professionally. Conduct and support accurate vehicle check-in and check-out inspections to determine responsibility for damage. Notify customers of damage, obtain recharge authorisation and coordinate repair agents. Inform hirers of MOT, service, recall and compliance requirements in line with the DGV Operations Manual. Provide timely responses to customer and internal queries, escalating where appropriate. Support holiday and sickness cover for the Operations Maintenance & Damage Controller and assist with rental agreements and invoicing.

You are organised, detail-focused and confident communicating with customers in a fast-paced, price-sensitive environment. You take pride in delivering a high standard of service and understand the importance of compliance, accuracy and proactive communication in fleet operations.

  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Experience delivering high standards of customer service in a customer-facing role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Able to work under pressure, manage priorities and maintain attention to detail.
