Asset Accountant – Milton Keynes Dawsongroup plc is a national provider of commercial vehicle rental and contract hire solutions, operating from a network of strategically positioned depots across the UK. We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Accountant at our Milton Keynes operation. The successful candidate willbe responsible for the management & control of Dawsongroup truck & trailer limited asset financial records, as well asdeveloping an understanding of the whole fixed lifecycle. This role will keep you on your toes and has a lot of elements to it. Here is a flavour of what youll be doing day to day: Managing the fixed assets system Calculating capital accruals Producing invoices and relevant accounting entries Suggesting process improvements Taking ownership of the Road Fund Licence, including accruals & PP and reconciliation Managing end of year provision Monitoring assets not rented un-utilised asset aging Creating the businesses management accounts Reporting on value add KPI What we are looking for in the ideal candidate: Experience working in a finance team Experience with posting journals essential Experience dealing with asset accounting would be desirable Part qualified preferable ACCA/CIMA
