Dawson Jones Recruitment is exclusively supporting the appointment of a Regional Director for a large and ambitious housing provider operating across the Midlands. This is a rare opportunity to join a significant organisation at a pivotal stage in its journey. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping culture, driving performance and delivering excellent customer outcomes across a regional portfolio of approximately 8,500 homes.
Reporting into the Executive Team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Housing Management, Property Services and Estates Services for a regional portfolio of approximately 8,500 homes. In addition, through your Property Services responsibilities, you will hold organisation wide accountability for DLO operations, playing a key role in driving performance, consistency and service excellence across the wider business.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring someone who can balance strategic thinking with operational delivery while creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
The Role- Providing strategic and operational leadership across Housing Management, Property Services and Estates Services
- Leading customer focused service delivery across a regional portfolio of approximately 8,500 homes
- Holding organisation wide accountability for Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) operations
- Driving performance across repairs, maintenance, compliance and operational services
- Leading service improvement, transformation and cultural change initiatives
- Building and embedding a high performance culture focused on accountability, ownership and excellent customer outcomes
- Managing significant operational budgets, resources and business plans
- Working closely with Executive colleagues, stakeholders and governance groups to support organisational objectives
- Providing visible leadership across customer services, operational delivery and organisational performance
- Supporting the ongoing development of a customer focused, high performing and values driven organisation
- Significant senior leadership experience within social housing, property, customer operations or a related sector
- Responsibility for Housing Management, Property Services or broader operational functions
- Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams and senior managers
- Strong understanding of repairs, maintenance, compliance and service performance
- Experience overseeing or leading DLO operations
- A track record of driving organisational change, cultural improvement and service transformation
- Experience managing significant budgets and operational resources
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
