Dawson Jones Recruitment is supporting our client with the appointment of an experienced Project Manager to deliver a portfolio of projects within healthcare and education. This is a client-facing role, responsible for delivering construction projects across the full lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders, design teams and contractors to ensure successful outcomes for both clients and the organisation.

The Role

Reporting to a Director, you will be accountable for the delivery of projects ranging from £50,000 to multi-million-pound schemes, ensuring client and company objectives are achieved. Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Programme management and project brief development
  • Managing project risk registers
  • Contract management, including NEC and JCT
  • Producing regular progress reports and monthly dashboard reports for stakeholders
  • Providing technical advice and support to design teams and stakeholders
  • Managing variations and defects
  • Managing resources in line with agreed budgets

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience delivering projects across the full project lifecycle
  • Previous experience working within healthcare and/or education environments
  • Experience operating as an external Project Manager or within a client side project delivery team
  • Proven ability to work effectively within multi-stakeholder environments and challenge constructively when required
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage workloads in line with project budgets
  • Experience producing and presenting reports to stakeholders
  • Experience chairing and minuting project meetings
  • Be a chartered member of MAPM, CIOB, RICS or other industry recognised organisations
  • Have or be working towards CSCS accreditation (or be willing to undertake)
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
